About The Artist 

Padmashree Sunil Das ( 1939 – 2014) : Sunil Das was one of the greatest, most talented genius artist and storyteller of our times. His Avant-Garde Expressionist Style and Restless Energy to Constantly Experiment with various subjects , mediums , genres shot him to fame as early as his college days. He won the prestigious Lalit Kala Academy Awards whilst still in College and shot to fame with his drawings of the Horses that he drew from his inspiration from the Fort William Army Horses in Kolkata.

About The Author of the Essay:  Manasij Majumder Born in 1938, Manasij Majumder, served as Reader in English literature at Sri Chaitanya College, Calcutta University; but throughout his teaching career, he regularly contributed articles on Art, Theatre, Dance and other cultural events in various Newspapers like Hindustan Standard, Sananda, Desh, Ananda Bazar Patrika, The Telegraph etc. He continues to write on Art, Profiling Artists as well as doing full-length studies on several Major Artists. Various Coffee Table Books have been published on Artists and Art of the likes of Master Artist Sakti Burman, Bikash Bhattacharya and on Sunil Das, in a book titled Art Moves, which has been told to be one of the best books in Asia.
