Storytelling as an ancient art form and a valuable form of human expression. Nothing in this world comes without a story . A person, place or thing has a story to tell. A past it relates to thus forming a series of events that in turn become a story.
‘Stories In Art’, talks about the narratives in art to tell the story of the artwork or what the artist wants the viewer to see.
Artists can present narrative in many ways—by using a series of images representing moments in a story, or by selecting a central moment to stand for the whole story. Narrative works often illustrate well-known historical, religious, legendary, or mythic stories.
Much of Western art until the twentieth century has been narrative, depicting stories from religion, myth and legend, history and literature.
We at Gallery Kolkata have put together a Festive Edit of such works that speak of a story, a narrative which establishes a dialogue with the artwork and its viewer .

Terms of Sale
- Kindly follow the prices mentioned . Its a fixed price sale. (Prices have been very carefully calculated to pass on all benefits to our patrons )
- INR prices are for Indian Deliveries ( Pan India)
- Should your address be that not easily serviceable by the couriers example, beyond the Metros and Tier Two cities . Please contact us for the final prices.
- USD prices can be equal or higher to the Indian prices. USD prices are for exports only , they cannot be converted into INR for Indian deliveries. In few cases it could be lower than Indian deliveries.
- By Human error , or technical err if we notice an error in the mention of price , details or any other component , the gallery would let the collector know prior to the packing and dispatch
- Incase you do not wish to go ahead with the purchase , and your payment is made , the same would be refunded to you .
Pointers to keep in mind
- A GST of 12 % is applicable to all Indian Deliveries , should the listed prices mention + gst .
- If you want to receive Framed Works : Framing Costs , Packing and Shipment will not be complimentary for both Domestic & International shipments, unless its mentioned so.
- However all charges , framing, packing and shipment are heavily discounted and nominal. We pass on all special rates to our esteemed collectors.
- Custom Duties of your individual country of import. There are no import Duties to countries like UK, Europe and USA on Art. However each state follows its own GST laws and your good-self is requested to check the same at your end. The same if any has to be borne by the collector.
- Post covid the courier companies are known to charge anywhere between 30-150 USD for imports on the pretext of some charge . This is not borne by the gallery but by the collector at your end.
- However custom duty charges are separate , and incase there is an import duty like in the case of Hongkong , Singapore , Australia please know so before so you are aware.
- Do be sure to find out the respective duties on Art HS code 9701 , in your individual countries.

- Please note the mentioned prices are for deliveries within India.
- Should you wish to receive the delivery abroad , kindly mention the works of your interest and we shall be happy to give you an estimate.
- Both unframed and framed works can be shipped internationally . We courier all across the world in a ready to hang high quality frame .
payment
- We prefer Bank Transfers , Both Domestic and International . ie. RTGS , NEFT or Direct Wire.
- Why ? a) It is the safest and fastest way to get the funds across to us. b) There are negligible Bank Charges c) We want to save on the heavy transaction fee that platforms like Paypal and others attract.
- Credit Cards , Drafts , Cheque and Other methods of payment are acceptable too.
- Credit Cards both Indian and Foreign will attract the transaction fee. ( please contact us for the final amount )
- Ask us for our simple credit card links to buy with the click of a button. ( Additional Charges on Credit Card payment would be applicable )
- Credit card payments may be subjected to an additional fee implemented by the credit card company.
All paintings will be sold to the exclusive discretion of Gallery Kolkata. A sale may be canceled should the full payment not come in within a week’s time from placing the order. The order may be canceled and the works made available to the other Patrons and the advance not refunded .
